Just looked it up, there are only 17 Avro Lancasters left and only 2 airworthy (with two more being restored to airworthiness).
11 of them in Canada including one flying and one which can taxi but not yet ready to fly.

This shot was taken during an evening practice display at Coningsby and was the first practice that included BBMF fighters alongside the pair of Lancasters.

BBMF Lancaster 'PA474' is leading, with visiting Canadian Warplane Heritage Lancaster FM213 (painted as 'KB726' and registered C-GVRA) trailing, with Hurricane IIc 'PZ865' and Spitfire IX 'MK356' for company.

That is not nearly enough, dude. I am the can bird master and I am telling you, to fly a bird with no parts supply (just through cannibalization), you need LOTS of hangar queens to serve as cannibalization targets.

Look at how the Iranians operate. I do not know the true stats off hand (at gym now but could try to find out later), but I suspect more than 70% of their American planes are down and cannibalized on any given day.

I've been feeding WWI troops in the trenches this week.
Wandering past the kitchen with Lewis guns and Lee Enfields slung over their shoulders.
Been perfect weather for the trenches, rained non stop for 3 days. Everyone and everything was covered in mud.
My kitchen floor looked like Pachendale.

The French corned beef ration had a label on it stating it came from Madagascar. The French soldiers assumed it had to be made with monkey meat because they couldn't believe there were so many cows in Madagascar. They took to calling it singe (monkey meat). Because French, American, and British troops were all together, it kind of took off from there. I think they all started calling their rations monkey before the end.
