Perverse FMWs are the ones electing idiots. Even now, Biden & Harris are tied with Trump. These people don’t care what else happens as long as the hated patriarchy is defeated.

Small Farmers are early adopters. They will be well positioned when our complex society collapses under the weight of the stupidity of our elite caste that arrogantly think they can put legally stupid people at the head of our leadership. And that's what they've done, whether it's incompetent geriatrics or clinically stupid from Harris to Fetterman to AOC.
EDIT: ive binged about 7-8 of these. Very good show.

Kismet that you two bring him up and he shows up with Luongo today.

Author, social critic, and raconteur James Howard Kunstler joins me again for the first time in a while. I wanted to go ‘off grid’ after a bunch of technical, finance-focused episodes and pull back to the bigger picture. No one better than Jim for this as we both note just how silly the whole “EV Revolution” looks from a perspective that isn’t high on the fumes coming from globalist backsides.

Re: Preparing for Uncertainty and Self Reliance
Whew it’s been a busy year. Resting up for spring now, got our woodstove cleaned out and running.
Got estimates for a big back deck - $70k. Gonna have to figure that one out on my own.
Whole home propane generator - 10k. I can pour the concrete pad to save a little, but I think I’m gonna go ahead and pull the trigger.
My 2 hogs are just about finished, they ship out at the beginning of February. We had an escape the other day while shifting their area - that got exciting. Fortunately, my idiot dog harassed him enough that he eventually came back inside the fence. We’ve enjoyed having them here to eat leftovers and scraps. They really are sweet animals. I admit I’m still intimidated by their size, but they haven’t misbehaved a bit.
I’ve gotten a huge amount of work done with just the zero-turn and a dump wagon. I’m not convinced that I’ll need a tractor anytime soon, but considering a cheap side-by-side just for cruising to the back of the property, and hauling brush.
Speaking of which, tree pruning is going to be a major focus for early spring (feb-March). The fruit trees have been severely neglected, and I still have a dream of thinning out the forest to at least arms width between trees. I’ve just about conquered the thorn bushes and vines, but there’s a lot to do. Hopefully, I’ll be able to run my next batch of pigs in the trees.
I’m realizing that a bridge over the creek may be out of the question, depending on what I see during the melt. The high banks are at least 50’ apart.

Re: Preparing for Uncertainty and Self Reliance
For those not interested/able in gardening, we found a produce auction in the fall, and loaded up big on veggies at wholesale pricing. Definitely the way to go, if you’re familiar with pressure canning, but don’t have the green thumb.
