Holy shit! Just got 2# of strawberries for 9 bucks from Southern California. Best tasting strawberries that we have had in a few years. Strawberries and avocados are what we miss most from mainland living. I am going back again tomorrow to get more of this goodness.
There is a guy in Japan that has been cultivating strawberries for the last 30 or so years... he can get $50k for a single strawberry. Honestly, if I could afford it I would jump over there right now and buy one, cultivate the seeds, and grow them myself. I've been told the experience is nearly orgasmic.
That's gay.

I'm just talking about Costco Honolulu and 9 dollars.
Hey, some people take food seriously. If you get the strawberry, get the seeds and start your own harvest, bring the cost down and start putting then in $30 salads ;)

Some people don't have foresight... either way, go back, get the seeds and grow your own... you live in Hawaii, the land has to be good for growing something.

You think he’s selling $50k strawberries with viable seeds?

Considering he picks them the day of sale, and he does cross population by hand. Yeah.

Mad Cow Disease found in Brazil, worlds largest Beef Exporter

Something wrong with this story. They stopped exports to China, but at the same time say it's a naturally occurring version of the disease and there is no danger.

Fuckery abounds. Beef prices likely to go up.

So day before yesterday my friend had asked me if I am ready for a pig. I woke up, admittedly, late this morning and missed a text asking me if I wanted a pig. I responded with a single word of Yes. Missed out on the morning kill. Driving home from town around 4 something, I get a call then a text "come and get it." He shot one but he had to trace it out. Unbeknownst to me he had shot two, he had this one all set up under the tripod along with the hose. She was maybe 70# before I skinned and gutted her. Ugg, worst part was nicking her colon and having actual pig turds fall out into the cavity. That was the worst.

In a few hours I get to butcher the carcass but I figured that I would bring home the head to play with because they say that the cheek meat is the prized meat and I also wanted to see how Paka would react to fresh pigs' ears. HAHAHAHA

My dog goes bonkers for cow hooves when we get our beef.

Doesn’t that spoil the meat when the guts spill out? Or can you wash it with soap or something?

Luckily I had access to a hose to wash it off immediately. So I don't think that there was any real spoilage. But having pig turds rolling out of the nicked colon was a serious party foul. HAHA Motherfuck me.... Pretty gross.

I mean…. I’m picturing it as someone rolling pig bile over my raw pork chops…. I’m gonna need more than a spray down before I cook it

HAHA! I get it. It was just big round turds that spilled out. They were already near the exit ready to come out. I got nowhere near the machinations of the 2nd or 3rd in line of turd formation.

This pig is nowhere near to cooking yet. I have much work left to do. If all else fails, which it has, it becomes organic free range dog food. Who isn't winning?
