Hey man, I'm your 1911 boi. A freak since 1981.C-Mag wrote: ↑Thu Feb 14, 2019 12:40 pmHere we go again.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Thu Feb 14, 2019 12:32 pmIs there a video that shows how they jam, in ultra slow motion?
Cheap 1911's jam. Quality 1911's rarely, in fact fire better than anything else, that's why they are the Number ONE choice for competition shooters.
John Browning invented the thing in his back yard 10x12 workshop, hand fabricating all the parts. Because the revolutionary design had 4 interactive moving parts during firing al the parts have to have compatible tolerance of movement. Too sloppy or too tight and the gun will fail. Get the tolerance right and it extremely reliable. Modern firearms rely too much on CNC milled parts and not enough on skilled labor and test firing.
Fife, Doc...…………….. if you buy junk, and you die when your gun jambs that's a personal problem.

Glock 19X is on my short list for new gun. Love my 1911, but I need a 9mm in the stable.
1911/Glock/Sig arguments are like truck brand arguments.
Just get what works for you.

In the Gun nerd world, 2018 was tagged as the Year of the Revolver for resurgence of interest and sales in revolvers. There's just certain things that are awesome about revolvers. I just love the simplicity.doc_loliday wrote: ↑Thu Feb 14, 2019 11:38 pmI got revolvers n shiet, but Glocks are awesome, fuck you haters.

You're preaching to choir, brother. I love shooting my 10 shot ruger 22, and my ruger 357 mag, but carrying a chunk of iron is pretty impractical. Glocks are fine guns. They're reliable, accurate, and easy to maintain.C-Mag wrote: ↑Thu Feb 14, 2019 11:53 pmIn the Gun nerd world, 2018 was tagged as the Year of the Revolver for resurgence of interest and sales in revolvers.
