If you are involved in a crime that leads to someone getting killed that is what happens in the US. Perfectly normal. Even I knew that.

I read 3 different reports on this, sounds like the chick in the getaway car really set the whole thing up. Of the 3 burglars, only one of the boys was a legal adult and she was 21. I think those issues were factors.

Wow!

https://defence-blog.com/army/russia-re ... -laos.html
Russia receives T-34 tanks from Laos

Image

Media reports on 9 January, citing local sources, stated that the first T-34 medium tanks have arrived in Russia as part of military-technical cooperation with Laos.

“During the visit of Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu to Laos in January last year, agreements were reached on the return of T-34 tanks to Russia,” the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation said.

“The combat vehicles has already covered more than 4,500 km by sea and arrived in Vladivostok. Then by rail, it will be delivered to the Moscow region, to the city of Naro-Fominsk “.

T-34 tanks transferred by the Lao side is planned to be used during the Victory parades in various cities of Russia, for updating museum exhibits, as well as for making films about the Second World War.
I wouldn't mind having one. Even if they really are Czech tanks made in the -50s it's still pretty amazing they've been maintained all this time.

Very Cool.

T-34's are overrated, their reputation came from massively outnumbering German Tanks. When up against US Pershing Tanks in Korea, the US Tanks greatly outclassed the Russian Tanks. It wasn't even close.

Angled armour that shells bounced off, that's what made them better than the German tanks. Reliability was also a big advantage over the complicated Panzers which could not be easily fixed in the field.
Using slave labour didn't help either. The engines were easily sabotaged by blocking oilways leading to overheating and seizures.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

I don't discount those issues. My point is, when they were put up against the Americans, the T-34 failed to perform and were outclassed.

Did you know the T-34 was American designed ?

How did the Sherman compare with the T34?
That's what you were building during WW2, not the Johnny come lately Pershings.
Tommy boilers Jerry called them due to the fact they caught fire so easily.
Bloody great petrol tanks sat unprotected right behind the turret and a gun which couldn't harm the panzers unless they were at point blank range.

Not what I said. And Yes, we built Pershings and fielded them in WWII. However, I specifically stated the Pershings outclassed teh T-34-85s. The T-34-85 and the M26 Pershing didn't face each other in WWII, so comparing them is conjecture. However, both tanks were shipped to units in 1944, about 10 months seperate their fielding.
