It's been a long roadheydaralon wrote:I just listened to the theme song. Five Stars! I don't think I can watch the show now because there is no way the episode will be as good as the song! I would just be disappointed.Penner wrote:Enterprise was just a waste of a show for like 2 1/2 seasons. I mean it did get slightly better but by then it was too late to come back from, IMO. Also, why they ever choose that song to play over the opening credits is a mystery to me as well and I agree, it's one of the dumbest shit things ever.GrumpyCatFace wrote:
Enterprise was a pretty awesome show, actually. I liked it better than Voyager.
That theme song though... dumbest shit ever.

They are wearing Space Pajama's, pretty sure the writers get that the show is campy, that's part of the charm.

They're jumpsuits - same as astronauts or test pilots would wear. Efficient, futuristic, clean. It's been Future Fashion since Azimov. Don't pretend that Star Trek stands out because of it.StCapps wrote:They are wearing Space Pajama's, pretty sure the writers get that the show is campy, that's part of the charm.

Then I couldn't sing the real theme song for the lulz, why do you have to try and ruin my fun?Penner wrote:Just imagine if ENT had a better theme song:

Yes.Penner wrote:Just imagine if ENT had a better theme song:
And we'd almost certainly have had more Trek series, following ENT. Might even have avoided the fetid abortion of the 'reboots'.

Re: Star Trek Discovery
Stop blaming Enterprise for shit that clearly isn't it's fault. It was not the reason there was no more Trek series afterward until Discovery, it is not at fault for any of the new movies that you don't like. Knock off this rubbish.

Ratings fell, it was considered the least popular Trek at the time - largely due to that godawful opening. It bounced me off the show hard, for years.StCapps wrote:Stop blaming Enterprise for shit that clearly isn't it's fault. CBS execs saw this, assumed Trek needed their special expertise, and they proceeded to can it (again), until they could get a flaming fucking idiot in the director's chair to "reboot" it. Fresh, hip new look for the kids, and all that.

The episode, In the Mirror Darkly never had that problem, IMO?
