One day I will buy a blade from the guy that makes them from iron meteorites. So pretty.
I'll make the handle myself.

Those are pretty neat looking. I heard somewhere that metiorite metal was heavier than most common metals. Is that true?

It depends on what they are made of. Iron is iron after all. The most common composition of iron meteorites is Kamacite which is an alloy that has 5 - 7 % nickel in it. Usually octahedrite, Hexahedrite or ataxites.

Octahedrite has the pretty patterns.

In order to make a functioning blade, you need to fold it with a good carbon steel and make a damask.

Here are some other pretty blades made by him.

This one has a handle made from a mammoth tusk found in the Siberian permafrost.

The Inuits of Greenland got their iron from the Cape York meteorite and it's been speculating that Vikings may have traded with them for that high-quality iron to make some of their famous swords. Most of that meteorite was stolen by a US explorer.

1600Kr or less than £140 isn't bad for a hand made knife even without a handle.

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Legends are saturated with fables of powerful weapons forged from the stars. From Attila the Hun’s fabled Sword of Mars, to Arthur’s Excalibur, the proposed magical properties of meteorites crosses cultures.

But meteoric swords aren’t just a myth.

Well, duh. I am curious if spears are better than hammers, though.

Spears are literally peasant arms.
