Another good example of not needing post very often and still be valuable contributor. You simply don't need to have a top post count or agree with those who do in order to get respect around here, contrary to what some may believe.

There are no guarantees but new blood wasn't a bad thing back on the DCF, and I don't think new blood would be a bad thing here on the MHF either.

It is not our fault that folks like drtrech, kath, ooky and monte began to self censor because they were afraid to defend their opinion in a thread with minimal backup,.

I think the reason they left was because whatever they actually wrote got twisted into a strawman. It's one thing to defend your own and actual position, but if people keep strawmanning your position again, again, again and again... then what point is there in debating with those who strawman you, again, again and again? If your debating opponent keeps insisting that you don't believe what you write you believe, but must believe what he insist you must believe, then it's no real wonder people simply stop wanting to have a conservation.

Personally, I stay because I'm an optimist and in my own way, I care about those posters here who I've known for up to seven years, and even those who I had the most aggressive debates with and don't want succumbing to a right-wing version of a SJW/victimhood culture/entitlement thinking. They'll come around eventually, I'm sure.

Only Martin Hash can decide if you get thrown out or not. Anybody else can only throw words at you and nothing else. So what if they are persistent? Then you simply persistently ignore them, persistently insult them in return or persistently show yourself as the better guy and respond like a civil and well-mannered person: Whatever suits your preference.

The very people they blame for strawmanning them got strawmanned by them far more often than vice versa. So why hasn't those on the right left the forum yet despite that? Because they aren't pussies. If Kath wanted to stop being strawmanned than she should have stopped strawmanning every single person who disagreed with her as being a Trump nuthugger, but she refuses to stop that bullshit. If you tell her she's doing this and she used to far less reactionary, then she ignores and lumps you in as "one of them".

The left stopped arguing in good faith long before we started making fun of them for it on a routine basis because they've gotten so bad. They did this to themselves, Bjorn. They love throwing rocks from their glass house, but they hate it if you throw the rocks back. They've simply gotten lazy and blame everyone else for it.
