I think it's a problem that is just going to continue and it may also just spread into TV land as well. As of now, Hollywood DOES cater to China and their censors because China only allows 34 films, that are not Chinese, into the country and Hollywood sees it as a giant brand maker and also a $$$ generator.

They will just start to cater to the Chinese censors in the same way the movies are trying to. Remove/downplay anything mystical/fantasy (or give it a sci-fi bent), start to make China more and more important to the shows that they are filming. Like make a major character from China and/or set something in China, etc....
