New Total Online

Post by Martin Hash » Thu Sep 27, 2018 9:46 pm

I didn’t notice a bot swarm last night but we hit a new record of “most users ever online:” 63. Don’t know why? Like I said, my LinkedIn and FB has been hit too.

The world needed to know what the MHF thinks about the BK affair.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

We should sell our story to CNN.

Perhaps it is because you reasserted your ownership of the forum and the subsequent average tone change that resulted?

I hope so though I doubt it. I sure enjoy the forum more.

I use this place to develop ideas, as do most people who post here. The general wisdom of this place has risen. I notice when I go out into FB land, it feels like old DCF but when I come back here, it's like Hogwarts.

My inability to draw new members is discouraging but I'm pretty sure it's fame related, which I'm working on.

Not so sure about that. I've given a few people the link to here but none have joined. They might lurk on occasion, but really I don't think in general they are "joiners" to much of anything. Then again, neither am I to a degree, I'm still on FB but haven't posted in probably a year, never joined Twitter or anything else. I have accounts on a whopping 3 forums, one I rarely visit anymore as it's gone too far leftie, this one, and one that's just kinda social and the few political threads that pop up (because the founder/admin is leftie) I just ignore and let him rant to an almost vacuum because nobody else replied either.

My guess is that 10-20% of people are politically opinionated (left/center/right), and the vast majority just don't give a fuck, they're just trying to get by, pay bills, keep food on the table, and live life the best they can. You could get Michael Jackson fame and nobody would come here unless you started a fanboy area because they wouldn't be here for history/politics.

What are your most popular threads? Maybe we discussed an ort-Googled question and you’re hitting the front search page.
