So what happened? Looking back I have to say I have no idea. Just vague recollections of shock and awe campaigns in the meme wars that left mental casualties strewn all over the Internet in its wake. Couldn't have been the documentary With Open Gates could it have? Is that where it had started? Yes Achmed I'm looking at you, here in the first world it is bad, very bad, to fiki-fiki the unaccompanied minors. Who voted for that? Did someone have a referendum on the state of things? Where do you check that box on the ballot? "I want more/less of this." Should be an excellent vote plantation I'm surprised nobody is getting super PAC money for this.

It's the money stupid! It's always about the money but now money doesn't even make sense. High School economics class was where I found out I was a socialist of course. Watch a Carrot Top video and check that box. "Yeah I'd like a little assistance available from my state." But it's about Eternal Ideals! Of course I don't remember Reagan though. Why are we talking about Reagan all the time? Did Reagan do something really bad ass? I was too busy watching that television screen in High School Economics class as another plane flew into those burning towers and the people, oh they jumped, that's people. Next week, "it's about Al-Queda stupid!" It is? Why are we in Iraq? Wait now we are in Afghanistan. What's going on? Lebanon, Syria?Well I wish someone actually knew the answer maybe smitty can someday write a book and maybe someday I'll actually read one again.

He does a great job of breaking down the development of "the spectacle", the political narratives that those in power have tried to use, and why they don't work anymore. Their end goal is no longer about coming together to fix the problems, it is about stability and reducing uncertainty.

We can't afford to break a few eggs to make an omelet, we're much closer to the brink that most people realize. There's a reason a cooperative dictator was more preferable to actual democracy.

Just finished. Documentary does an excellent job showing how we got here in the last 50 years. In particular I enjoyed the detail of how through social media and the internet we have created bubbles that the government has effectively used to manipulate truth; in terms of subverting it or altering it.

The doc also did a very good job demonstrating what the tactics were of everyone involved in foreign diplomacy in the last 50 years. Lastly, it did an excellent job covering how the leaders of the west have completely lost touch with it's citizenry, and it's why we have Brexit, and Trump. Clearly Assad and the radical Muslims of the world have shown that their strategy is to use suicide bombing to try and deter western policy and freeze western culture. Fun watch. Thanks so much for putting it on the forum for us!
