While Hash pushes his luck with kidnappers in the Golden Triangle of Laos, (thanks Hash just keep the server up while you're bargaining for your freedom,) and wondering distractedly wtf is Monte going to cook in his truck today the struggle continues somewhere on the Internet to claim enough space of your own like a modern day pioneer. So what happened? Looking back I have to say I have no idea. Just vague recollections of shock and awe campaigns in the meme wars that left mental casualties strewn all over the Internet in its wake. Couldn't have been the documentary With Open Gates could it have? Is that where it had started? Yes Achmed I'm looking at you, here in the first world it is bad, very bad, to fiki-fiki the unaccompanied minors. Who voted for that? Did someone have a referendum on the state of things? Where do you check that box on the ballot? "I want more/less of this." Should be an excellent vote plantation I'm surprised nobody is getting super PAC money for this.

It's the money stupid! It's always about the money but now money doesn't even make sense. High School economics class was where I found out I was a socialist of course. I was too busy watching that television screen in High School Economics class as another plane flew into those burning towers and the people, oh they jumped, that's people. Next week, "it's about Al-Queda stupid!" It is? Why are we in Iraq? Wait now we are in Afghanistan. What's going on? Lebanon, Syria?Well I wish someone actually knew the answer maybe smitty can someday write a book and maybe someday I'll actually read one again.

But the DCF is shuttering. After so many years of enjoyment in a special place for some, Dan couldn't justify it. He probably couldn't figure out what was happening in his forum when he occasionally checked in, to maybe garner feedback. I still can't figure out what happened either. We voted Trump. Just enough of us did. The rurals vs the urbanite, the coalition of "whatever the fuck that is" vs people that just want their country back somehow someway. None of it was very clear. But I really wish things were different.
