You jumped the shark I was saving that one for Christmas day
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

90 kg and 300 meters doesn't tell you anything. You need to figure out the rest of the picture to know if that's impressive.
At 45 degrees for maximum range, I'm getting about 1,700 Newtons to launch a 90kg stone 300 meters. That's an acceleration of about 19 m/s^2. Little more than double that of gravity.

It's what it could achieve in terms of ending the dominance of castles which is impressive. Used to be that a few dozen men could hold off an army of thousands but once you had the trebuchet you could set fire to the wooden structures inside and breach the walls. A few carpenters could do in a few days what used to take months of siege to bring about.
Wasn't the canon which started the decline of the Barons rule, it was the trebuchet.
Power to the serfs comrade.

Its not a cannon?
No man's life, liberty, or property are safe while the legislature is in session

Looks more like a catapult. Winch is in the wrong place, not being wound correctly.Montegriffo wrote:POP QUIZ

Winch in wrong place with levers which are too small and no ratchets. First point to Grumpy.
Another two anyone?
I'll turn a blind eye to your use of the "c" word GCF but any more of that and you'll be standing outside in the corridor till home time.

Counter weight is way too close to the fulcrum. That's why I said it looks like a stupid flicker.
