For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

No, it's India who just kicked our arses today. Beat us by 36 runs and they only needed to bat once. We got 400 and 195 trying to catch their first innings total of 631. I was hoping for a thrilling draw.Speaker to Animals wrote:It's team Zulu you have to worry about in cricket.

A 5 day game, played in England, where rain stops play and most games end in a draw what more could you want from a game? Especially when how much water and heavy rollers you use on the grass can throw a result.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Whatever the hell you're talking about is.. great for you. Sounds gripping.
I think it's far too complicated for Americans and you just don't get it if nobody wins.

I think you're being sarcastic, but you brought the whole clusterfuck into this conversation, so I can't be sure...Montegriffo wrote:A 5 day game, played in England, where rain stops play and most games end in a draw what more could you want from a game? It's all true, India won because a dry wicket means their spin bowlers have the advantage over our swing bowlers who need a little moisture in the air and a bit of cloud cover to make the ball change direction mid air. Like I say it's complex and there is a lot of physics. I love it but never played much cos my team sports were rugby and basketball.GrumpyCatFace wrote:I think you're being sarcastic, but you brought the whole clusterfuck into this conversation, so I can't be sure...Montegriffo wrote:A 5 day game, played in England, where rain stops play and most games end in a draw what more could you want from a game?
