StA's own evidence contradicts his own narrative, yet he acts incredulous that we don't see things his way.

You need to pretend that nothing else prior could have possibly given you away and you're unwilling to accept the possibility that you didn't cover your tracks all that well. True but that doesn't mean you weren't subtle and hadn't given yourself away prior to the 8th. It just means there is no documented proof yet presented that this is the case. If you want to choose to believe that you were so stealthy that no one could have possibly suspected before that point, then it's your prerogative to believe in a far less likely narrative, but that is hardly clear logical thinking.
