Our host is a lifelong Democrat we are helping to get visibility for office, we've got a few GOPers, a few Conservatves, a few Libertarians, catholics, protestants, atheists, and a token jew............couple Classic Liberals like me, probably a fascist, a Costitutionalist, Euro-Socialists, Cannucks ........... and even a New England Patriots fan.

Here's where the "Echo Chamber" thing comes from:

We don't have any Collectivists on this forum. Remember, liberty is: "the wants of the individual supersede the needs of the group," and Collectivism is the opposite of that. We all just assume our individual liberty comes first, we take it for granted, and we debate as if that's a given. To a Collectivist, since all our arguments are based on the premise of liberty, everything we say seems to sound the same.

When you go to a Collectivist-based forum, the assumption is the opposite, so everything sounds the same over there too.

When the left talks about "echo chambers", you have to realize that this is newspeak. They really mean that it's *not* an echo chamber which is the problem. i.e. you are allowed to express ideas that run counter to their ideology.

If they can get away with it, they will pretend like the people expressing these views make them feel unsafe or some other alleged harm in an attempt to ge them banned. When that fails, they will complain about how it's just an echo chamber for the right wing, which generally precedes their leaving for an actual leftist echo chamber where they won't have to confront arguments.

This is mainly Martin's fault. He did not set up the new member paypal system like I asked him to do repeatedly. I set up the application forms for potential members, to assess things like their political views, make and model of their first car, mother's maiden name, first pet's name, social security number etc. I only asked for a fraction of the $45 new member fee, yet he did not implement the system that I created. If he wants quality members, we are going to need to know their PIN number and what bank they use. There is no getting around it. The fact that we would set up an elaborate registration process would show new members this is an premium online forum, and that we take political discussion here very seriously. Otherwise, they can just find some random subreddit to argue on. People pay money every month for worthwhile social interaction. This takes many forms, like gym memberships, online dating sites, fraternity dues, or Church tithes. Why should online political message boards be any different? I'm tired of posting wholesome, immaculate content for free.
