I didn't mean upvote down vote like reddit, i meant actual user ratings, where we'd get 1-5 stars as a user depending on the ratings of the other users

I just don't think a popularity contest is something we need to engender more. Newcomers don't need that to be their introduction. Wade in and get slapped around by strangers like the rest of us did.

I frequent another forum where members can 'like' individual posts, always nice when a bunch of other users acknowledge a good post. Also as a function it's hard for dukedog to abuse
