Yes, and he had an Amiga too! What a nice computer, after my beloved TRS-80. So much in common.C-Mag wrote:Props BroHash....... you're a good man. I guess you knew what you were getting yourself into.

The ship has indeed sunk....the DCF has officially vanished back into the Ethter from whence it came.

Thanks again Martin - otherwise we would have dispersed.

Why is that so disturbing?
Not even a digital tombstone to mark the half decade of time spent...
The internet can be a cold place..
But BroHash keeps the homefires burning.

Re: thanks to Martin
I loved DCF. It was perfect because high-powered debate like that is unusual. In fact, forums usually shut down underneath me, so my gratefulness of having it overcomes the insult of having it shut down, BUT for those of you who had 10 years flushed down the toilet, that hurts, and there is no rational reason it should have gone that way.
Dan wasn't that great of an online debater but he didn't have to be, others of us could have carried his water. He was also inept at debate tactics that included insult & foul language, and he couldn't recognize a sock-puppet, or even a bot. His personality is obviously very controlling, or he would have allowed other people in who could do the dirty work, but he did all the heavy lifting, and for that I'll always listen to what he has to say, he's just not as intuitive or wise as I once hoped he was.
As for this forum, I tell my wife regularly how glad I am that it was just sitting around ready for use. There was about a week there where we could have made the transition work, and all cylinders were firing. I wish we could have picked up a few more of the great debaters but we got most of them. I'm going to try and step up my podcast game to see if that will attract new members. You guys got to do what you can too.
