Just got my hands on a Rasberry Pi 4 v2.
I'm installing Ubuntu into it now, just to try it out. I am going to use it as a depository for all my ideas and documentation so I can "take it on the fly" if I need to. I got a daughter card on it, so I can use a SSD. I'm also working on creating a server at home for my book, so instead of depending on third party online stuff I have everything working locally and backed up offsite three times a day.
Hopefully everything works according to plan, because I really, really want to make this work.

I use PIs for the pirate server in my house.

It’s a stripped-down barebones version just intended to run KODIThe Conservative wrote: ↑Wed Dec 15, 2021 3:38 pmWhat OS are are you using? I am so out of practice in Linux that isn't funny.

Well that makes sense. I'm debating on trying FreeBSD next for another several features.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Wed Dec 15, 2021 3:51 pmIt’s a stripped-down barebones version just intended to run KODIThe Conservative wrote: ↑Wed Dec 15, 2021 3:38 pmWhat OS are are you using? The title of this thread sounds dirty.

I'd be more worried if it was a Blackberry Pie

You could use a usb stick to backup a book. That's just silly.
The only legitimate use for a Pi4 is Retropie. Mine has around 10k games on it

I am using it as a depository for all of my books and ideas, not something I want on the web.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Tue Dec 21, 2021 3:52 pmYou could use a usb stick to backup a book. That's just silly.
