Number of PhDs

I’ve been getting questions about my doctorates from being a candidate, and I looked up some numbers. First, my personal belief is that a Computer Science PhD is perhaps the most difficult to obtain, at least tied with a PhD in Physics; but there are a total of 1800 C.S. PhDs compared to that number of Physics PhDs per year.

There's a lot of incredulity. The most common thing they ask is: "if these are real, how come I've never heard of you before?" Good question.
