Hypothetically, if someone were imminently headed off to college, what advice would you give them? For the sake of imagination, let's say they're going to a well-ranked STEM school. You know, just for imagination's sake. We'll also pretend this person has heard the trite advice, and wonders what you all might have to say beyond the usual go to's.
Of course, this is purely a social experiment. I am in no way doing exactly what this hypothetical is about, nor does it in any way partially explain my long absence posting (and even lurking of late).

Re: College Hypotheticals
If you are going to do it, go to Europe if you do not have tuition covered here. No sense going into debt for an education when you can get it free in Germany or Italy.

Re: College Hypotheticals
Depends if you are doing on or off campus. I would recommend going to a junior college for a degree in a trade. I would go as far to say avoid construction.
