Compare and contrast with Brindamour and Tocchet.

Both hardasses as players, but as coaches they are working with the kids they got.

Babcock meanwhile, if he doesn't have Team Canada, he just pouts, Babcock is Pouty Time naow.
Babcock and Duchene deserve each other, that would be pouting on steroids. Would be so worth it for the lulz.

It's already pretty funny that Duchene has Torts as his coach, that's a hilarious combo too.
Dubas has to have his own coach, Shanahan has overplayed his hand, Dubas saddled with Babcock is a bad match.

Yeah they don't work well together at all, someone's gotta go, and it's obvious that it's Babcock who should be thrown under the bus.

It's like Dubas goes out and gets Muzzin, Babcock continues to play the shit out of useless Hainsey.

It's not that I think Muzzin is so great, but clearly Babock and Dubas are working at cross purposes.

That's not gonna work.

Babcock coaches the team he wishes he had instead of the team he actually has.

Maybe the team is too soft or whatever, but Babcock is not helping by playing the shit out if Hainsey and Zaitsev.

If he's not going to play the kids, he's not what Dubas needs, because it's a team of kids, and will be for most of its window.

Matthews scores at extreme sharp angle, rocket snipe.

This team makes the playoffs by sheer firepower alone.

Babcock has nothing to do with it.

Leafs completely break down in their own zone, Laughton left all alone in front, Andersen no chance on that one.

They even have the replacement head coach in house; DJ Smith.

#firebabcock.

Nylander gets the Monkey of his back, Leafs tie it up again.

Once again, sheer firepower, nothing to do with Babcock.

Basically, Babcock's systems aren't catching on with this team, they get caved in, they can't score.

Eventually they just ignore Babcock and do what they think they should do, which is run and gun.

They win more often by run and gun.

Whether that is bad juju is besides the point.

The coach is not aligned with the team, the team is not aligned with the coach.

Loafs lose in a shootout, another pathetic display from the Mike Babcock County Club.

Par for the course.

Beauty dish by Jost in the corner to Calvert in the slot, snipe city. 1-0 Avs.

Jost and Compher stepping up big down the stretch with Landeskog and Rantanen out. I'm impressed the Avs are still in the playoff race given those untimely injuries, but Grubauer standing on his head will do that I guess.

Mackinnon goes Super Saiyan, dangles around the entire penalty kill and uses a screen to make it 2-0.
