If they send him back down, they really are retarded. They can't be that dumb, Babcock is gone.

I called it a year ago, his ceiling is #1D Norris contender. This is a franchise player making his debut
He's taking Morgan Rielly's minutes here like it ain't no thang, in only his seventh game in the show at 19 years old

Slick Willie at the side of the net, but notice who makes the play happen ; Engvall ; 7th round pick, 188th overall
Engvall has moved his way up onto the wing on the Tavares line now.

Nice goal, not a lot you can do about that except salute it.

Travis Dermott on the other hand is having a terrible game, one giveaway after the next, he's flailing.
That goal against starts up ice with Dermott going for a skate and then coughing it up on the zone entry

This is what makes Sandin so impressive.
Dermott is progressing like an average player, it's going to take him the prerequisite 300 games to figure it out.
Sandin has it figured out already, that is what sets the superstar's apart from the pack

Casual. Matthews makes it look easy.

Stays on pace for 57 goals. He's 5 goals behind Pastrnak, so the Rocket Richard Trophy is within reach

Who has the Leafs record? Was it that guy who got 10 points in a single game?

Right Wing #22 Captain Rick Vaive with 54 goals, and he had another 52 goal seasonMontegriffo wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 6:33 pmWho has the Leafs record? Was it that guy who got 10 points in a single game?
Matthews is the greatest Leafs goalscorer of all time though ; it was much easier to score back in the 1980's
You have to adjust for the era, if Matthews was playing back in the 80's, he would have been putting up 80+
Goaltending has completely changed since the 80's, back then most goalies were a joke by this era's standards
