Thankfully Kadri is a much better fit on the Avs than he was on the Leafs after they brought Tavares in.Smitty-48 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2019 9:32 pmKadri is defeinitely a center, but he's not a checking center in the defensive sense, he's a body checker not a tight checker.StCapps wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2019 9:29 pmAlso, Kadri can play center. Kerfoot is no guarantee to stick there, Bednar Knows.Smitty-48 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2019 9:28 pm
Kadri is useless defensively, he's one of the worst offenders on the Leafs in terms of floating, missed assignments and running around in the defensive zone, so if Kerfoot is worse than Kadri defensively that doesn't bode well.
Mind you Kadri wasn't actually deployed in a defensive role, he's an agitator who play physical but he's not that interested in playing defense, he more runs around looking for the big hits and takes dumb penalties,
Kadri needs the puck in the offensive zone and on the power play.
Although he was shooting blanks on the power play last year so I'd rather have Johnsson in there now.
Kerfoot is a solid middle six guy, he might eventually stick at center, the penalty killing seems less likely though. If he can add penalty killing to the mix, that would be an impressive improvement that would be hard to see coming, that's for sure.
