Power play momentum kill, Loafs West pulling a Loafs.
Soon as they go on the power play they start overthinking it and kill their own momentum.

They got to start getting pucks in deep and stop getting cheeky entering the zone. Overthinking, and overpassing isn't going to make the Shark's choke.

Same thing that brought the Leafs down.
Outplaying them five on five.
Soon as they go on the power play; they stop skating, start thinking, and choke.
The Leafs would have been better off if they had declined the power plays.
Leafs West same same.

Re: MHF - Hockey Thread
Yeah, the PP was trash all series, momentum killing indeed, but that wasn't the biggest reason wasn't why the Avs lost this series.
Refusal to dump the puck in and forecheck, to try and force it with plays at the blue line cost them this series. When they dumped it in consistently they dominated, when they inextricably forgot to do that, the play would get broken up at the blue line and San Jose would bounce back on the counter attack and get their cycle game going.
If the Avs had stuck to the fucking gameplan and stopped forcing it with shitty passing or try to skate it in when entering the San Jose zone, they'd be in the Conference final right now.
Forgetting how to counter the neutral zone trap when they had it completely figured out, that's what is the most infuriating.
Cue Capps Green:
The Sharks are who I thought they were, and the Avs let them off the hook.

Silver lining that I don't really give a shit about right now, Avs end up with a 16th overall pick instead of a 28-31st overall pick.

Re: MHF - Hockey Thread
Also, what's with overturning the call, when they have no definitive evidence Landeskog's foot was on the ice or off of it, or that his foot was on the blueline or still in the zone?
The only view I saw had nothing to suggest it should be over turned, fucking Toronto War Room. If they don't have an angle that wasn't shown, and proves it was actually offside, then whatever, but if not, that's just faggotry of the highest order.

He's already back in Toronto, so now Nylander is the only reason to watch.
