The Army will take over eventually. The cycle repeats. Techno-feudalism might not be so bad, really, and generals that win battles would like govern better than the shot show we have now. Eventually there will be a period of rebellions. Limited democracies will form. The counter-civilizational "left" will re-emerge and attempt to expand enfranchisement to everybody in exchange for political power. They will attempt to open the borders and even give the vote to invaders in exchange for more power. The military will take over. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
