VPR Tracking - legit or sinister?

Post by K@th » Thu Mar 22, 2018 11:42 am

Just got this in the mail. Anyone know anything about this? I tend to think I should just ignore this.

...burn it.

That's what the VIN is for.

Stuff like that always goes out after you buy a car.

Same thing happens when you buy a house.

Someone somewhere forwards all the names and addresses of people buying cars and houses to companies like security companies and insurance companies.

Shit arrives in the mail, and salesmen knock on your door.

Just throw it away.

Got numerous offers after we bought the house; it was in the neighborhood of 20/week for months. This one just seemed different, but yeah, I figured it was nothing.

It's already been circular filed.

I think I'd TP the house of whoever it is that's diming out all the new home buyers to the fucking home security companies if I knew it was.

It's public record. They just go to the courthouse each month and get all the transactions.

With the cars, it's probably the dealers monetizing the data by selling it to vendors, though I suppose title changes are public record as well.

Might be a little hard to TP the courthouse.

That's because you are an Army puke and you have trouble thinking tactically outside of two dimensions.
