San Diego

Gonna be in San Diego for 5 nights with the family...
Prior to that just south of LA (Huntington beach) for 2 nights.

Planning to visit Universal Studios and the San Diego Zoo with the fam.
My boy has planned a bird watching day for us... to the Sultan Sea... cause he's a bird nerd... :D

Any recommendations for my wife and I... if we can ditch the kids in the hotel for an evening or two...
We'll be downtown... not far from the gaslamp quarter...

I was in San Diego a couple years ago. Drive down to Tijuana, it's only 30 minutes.

You can go to McP's Irish Pub in Coronado, that's where the Navy SEAL's like to hang out.
