Gunpowder: HBO Miniseries

Three part miniseries about the plot to blowup the House of Lords and the King in 17th century England. Looks promising.

Started well but tailed off towards the end. Execution scene in the first episode is worth watching but after that it's pretty weak.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

I've read just about the opposite. 1st episode plodding/slower episode 2-3 better. In any case, for me its a pretty damn interesting topic.

Well if you like mediocre actors, bumbling through another BBC period drama, weak on dialogue and factually vague you'll love it.
Even Mark Gatiss couldn't save it.

That's what Skipper Grumby said too.
