Feel free to reassign yourself if you do.

Human obviously... (I would be shocked otherwise).

Alignment?

Incorrect.

Escaped Drow. Ranger. Lawful Good.

So long as Her Majesty rules in the enchanted land of the red and green maples, I possess no dragon powers, I am merely a Ranger, in the ranks of the Queen's Royal Borderers.

Dark skinned?

OK what's the backstory?

Tell us more about the Drow community from which he escaped...
Affiliated with which divinity in the gaming universe? (What divinity do the Drow worship?)
How did this Drow go from evil to good?
How did he come under the protection of Lord Carlin?

dude, wtf. How do you not know Drizzt? If you knew who he was, you'd know that's me. His origin is about escaping the gynocentrism of Drow society to reach the light at the surface, where he becomes a ranger.

I think most would agree that I lack the charisma to be a decent bard.

Rogue/Illusionist multiclass maybe.
Not straight up warrior, not straight up wizard, but more than happy to engage in direct combat or showdowns of sorcery.

Whatever.
Bring it.

I didn't say you were a good bard. You are the bard that plays a song before battle and the rest of the party just groans.

I’d be a 1st edition bard.
Meaning I’d have leveled up in all other classes before reaching my first level of bard.
And my songs do make people groan, as a Seattle coffee house could attest.
(Apparently not fans of original Irish drinking ballads)

I think DrY is just realizing he is way out of his element here.
