What the hell do men know about purses?
So either the wife shops for her own gift... or you have to bring a woman with you shopping...

This is where the Christmas thing tends to go in the shitter.
Get her a classic book with a fancy binding, if she's that sort of gal.

I got her this one a few years back,

OH shit, two birds with one stone!

You only need to know two words, mate; Prada Saffiano.

Just get the black leather tote; never goes out of style.

My child wants a blue trumpet. I think I will get it one. Kind of a hard decision because it is at the age where things will get rpughed up and I actually used to play instruments and understand the amount of maintenance they require. Oh well though. At least it's not some stupid piece of sub 80 IQ plastic toy.

I presume you've already researched the pornography laws of Peru?

Bought the woman a newish cell phone, kids got (oldest to youngest), a bass guitar, a heavy-duty trike, and some new onesies for the babies.

Also, I'm converting the kids' savings into gold/silver bars. Great present, and I can buy it with their own money. ;)

Nerd and I don't really buy each other presents. We spend a small amount of money filling a stocking for each other. He knows that if jewelry ends up in my stocking, I'm calling a lawyer. I buy my purses at Target. The kids got a cruise this year. We're pretty much done with shopping. #Ilovemylife

Hey, that could be my house.

p.s. Weird thing though, my wife, Gwynne, has a jewelry floor: meaning she wants some minimum amount of jewelry, and it better be me who buys it, so once a decade or so, I'm forced to imagine what she wants. It's painful.

For her I imagine...

(After checking out your ceiling art... I can only imagine some of the jewelry that was commissioned)

Watching my kid trash his stuff through carelessness has been one of the toughest thing about being a parent.

I guess you'll have to save up for a new one of those.

Many lessons learned this way - he's a lot more careful now.
