Prof CJ from the Dangerous History Podcast coins the term 'the new counterculture '. He describes who is in it, and discusses how the original counterculture failed.

Traits of the New Counterculture
(There are outliers)
20s to 40 in age
Theologically relaxed
Not a partisan of either major party
Some what skeptical of fundamentalit religions
Independent livelihood or seeking it
Financially conservative in general
Skeptical of debt, focused on being out of debt
Don't believe in corporate capitalism, cronyism, mercantiism
Doesn't denigrate wealth
Values Independence more than Wealth
Focused on Maximizing Liberty in their own lives
Cynical about politics, in general
Neither Puritanical nor Hedonist about Vice
Understands the limitations of formal education
Actively pursues knowledge on their own
Joins few organizations
Gets almost all news from New Media
Typically live in a Blue City in a Red State
Concerned with food from corporate industry
Are or desire to grow their own food, or buy locally
Believe in Right to Defend yourself
Against big government, but also big business.

How well does that describe you?

IMO
Free Speech
Unfettered Internet access
2nd Amendment
Against corporatism
For limited guv
Etc.

Go through the above list. Do you have some key issues you ate in doubt about
