Grouper is way out from shore. Maybe snapper and sharks (and pompano). That's what you get on Florida beaches.

Dude with the net is probably catching mullet.

Yeah idk what these salt water guys really fish for. I snorkeled around some groupers in the Caribbean though. I guess it depends on the water. It's very green here

Pompano is a good fish to target.

If you catch one of those and grill it on the beach with some lemon and butter, you'll be out there every other day catching dinner too.

I go out of Apalachicola for grouper with my buddy from Tallahassee. We get grouper over wrecks and reefs about 20-25 miles out, about 50-80 feet of water. Lots of snapper in with those grouper also. We use as much live bait as possible (trap them overnight inshore), and rub them down with LY blood and guts and squid juice.... then just use the LYs and squid after the live bait is out.

Nothing like eating a good Cubano sammich 20 miles out in 2 foot seas with some squid juice on your hands and a cold Natty Light to wash it all down. :goteam: :drunk:

The other big bonus in Apalachicola is that it is the oyster capital of the world. We get in about 1 in the afternoon, and after a couple of hours we have the boat and the fish cleaned up; and then you can get a cooler full of oysters right out of the water that day for about $20. Shuckin and jivin time then, broham.

My friend and I were mystified about the salt life window stickers y'all rock. I guess that explains it partially. Still mystified though

It's a way of life. I miss it a little. Mountain Life is better.
