How is True Detective or Fargo Season 1 not a thing?

I think I like Better Call Saul more than Breaking Bad

It couldn't exist without BB and all the callbacks, but overall I like the show a little better

You aren't the only one, Smitty agrees with you. It's insane that Vince Gilligan was able to make a show set in BB universe that is anywhere near the quality of Breaking Bad, absolutely incredible.

There was three episodes left guy, he was going to be killed off either figuratively or narratively anyway in short order. So what good would it have done the show to keep him alive? That clearly would have made the show worse if they pandered to you on this one.

Happy endings are usually not the best endings, especially for a show like Breaking Bad, which killed off all three of my favorite characters, which was a great thing in every instance, because each one of them got to go out like a motherfucking bad ass and it made the story better to have them go the way that they did.

i havent watched any of better call saul, what are the odds it will be required viewing for the BB movie? BCS always felt like a cash grab so i never bothered. i'm sure it's good but i don't feel like suspending disbelief to make-believe all these old people are supposedly younger than they were in a show from 10 years ago
