Smitty's last post was Feb 25th, should we put his face on a milk carton?

Hughes is like Matthews, he's butter soft. Point is like Doug Gilmour.

Gilmour played Center, Matthews plays Center.

Well Point is also older
Point was a way better two way grinder at 18, he was like that in Moose Jaw.

Yet the reasons you give don't prevent others from playing center, so, you're not making the best case for that.

Hughes is pure offence, he's never played junior in Canada, the USHL is soft and they just let them skate around and get their cookies down there, they don't build Brayden Points in the USHL.

Matthews is 6'3" 225 lbs, Hughes doesn't have the size to make up for his lack of grind.

He will never be Brayden Point, he's not that style of player

Well if he turns out to be 180 pounds in his draft year, by the time he fills out, he's not gonna be that small.

You have Brayden Point as a comparable for Jack Hughes, no scout I know would say that, they would say Kane, and Kane doesn't play center for a reason, he sucks at it.

I still don't see him playing center, he's an offensive machine, but he just doesn't play a style which is conducive to being a center in the NHL, and I don't think he's going to get that big.

Just saying that being 5'10" 180 doesn't prevent you from playing center at a high level, observably so.
