To Our Dogs
If anyone would care to raise a glass to the dogs who've shared our lives. In memory of Jesse, who shepherded the kids through childhood, saw them off to college and his job was done.
Good boy.

I miss the avatar, too - I love that picture of Jesse. It was just too painful to keep using it when I knew he wouldn't be here much longer. Thanks for your good wishes.Fife wrote:I miss your avatar on the DCF, just like I miss the DCF. I know you miss him. Cheers to Jesse.

I really like this doggo. He looks very happy and friendly. Some day I too will have a happy doggo. My friend has two of the happiest and coolest doggos I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. And a really cool cat.

Re: To Our Dogs
He was very happy and friendly to people. Not so much other dogs. The last couple of months he mostly just slept and tried to get comfortable to the extent he could. There was pain and the pain pills made him sick, and then stopped working. When he no longer could wag his tail at the sight of his kids and didn't want to eat even the most tempting food I made the appointment and he slipped peacefully away, surrounded by his family.
