Mental fortitude, not physical. You'd get just as tired playing a real long game of Risk or Chess, doesn't make them sports.

Whatever, that still doesn't make it a sport dude. Phil Helmuth is no athlete.

Neither are the majority of darts players. A valid distinction between sports and pastimes is if you can smoke a cigarette at the same time it's not a sport....
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Darts players throw an object with accuracy. Phil Helmuth sits down and makes decisions. Just because you can still be fat and throw an object with accuracy doesn't mean you aren't playing a sport, same logic applies to bowling.

It doesn't take much more physical exertion to throw a dart than it does to move chess pieces. You can't claim that chess is no sport because it lacks physical exertion while darts is a sport despite lacking physical exertion.

Nobody should feel physically exerted after throwing darts. If you do feel that way, then I suggest going on a diet and, with the help of a qualified doctor, getting into a safe exercise program for people in your condition.

Darts and Bowling don't lack physical exertion and they are clearly games based on hand eye coordination which is a key part of athleticism. Chess is thinking and making decisions, moving an object with accuracy scores you no points in chess, it does in darts.

If you don't have to be in shape to compete, you aren't in a sports competition. Beer pong is not a sport.
