Well I finally finished this thing. Turned out reasonably well despite several screw-ups along the way.

Here are a couple of wartime photographs showing the nose gun position and the belly gun position in this aircraft. Don't think I would've wanted to be in those spots with a Spitfire shooting at me...

Here's a YouTube video of the only flying example of the He-111 left in the world.
Apparently this was an exhausting plane to fly. It required constant input from the pilot to keep it on course, the cockpit was very noisy from having the engines on either side, and all that plexiglas made it kind of a hothouse. Still, a really interesting design for its time.

Very nice! I'd hang that from my ceiling, like this one:

Will it let you bomb people with cat litter?

It flew a couple times but not by me. It's about 20' feet up. You have to stand on the balcony to see the top. I've been meaning to add some more planes, like the OP. (There's some fancy kites now.)

I'm imagining making bombing runs over DB's backyard, and DB trying to shoot it down with his shotgun.

 You're starting to remind me of my childhood. Many of our models met gruesome ends involving gasoline and fire.

Mine too! Plus "strafing" attacks with flaming green army men whose molten droplets made warlike whistling sounds as they descended upon the ships below, sometimes igniting the fuses of m-80's in their "magazines."

Nice HE-111, deo. I don't envy anyone who crewed one of those birds--not many parachutes emerged when they went down, I imagine.

Anyway, I may as well take this opportunity to post another of these:

This is just about finished. Need to add a clear gloss coat, a leather strap for the reins, screw on the back plate and permanently tack in the lampshade material.
