It is super awkward when people go around thanking veterans.

On the anniversary of D-Day, everybody was rocking our colors. 11 Nov.. it's plaid day.

No, I do not. It's just for me. At the gym, it's a good way to signal to other veterans. It's like wearing your university t-shirt in a way. It's just how we tell each other which team we are on.

The guys you want to thank are the ones with medals for extraordinary acts of courage. Even those guys I suspect don't like it.
