The Comic Thread
So, let's try this again. On the old DCF, I started a comic thread where people can discuss them and let's try the comic that started it all:
And here is a video about the new CA comic:

Is that the Imperial Guard from Star Wars as the Statue of Liberty?

Re: The Comic Thread
A bit of a longshot but if anyone is looking for some good current comics to read, it's really a great time for independent books. I only pull a few Marvel books and occasionally Batman from DC, most of my reading material has been from Image. There's a new book from one of my favorite writers Jonathan Hickman:
It's really good, I'm a little behind I'm only on issue 3, issue 4 came out last weekish and the collected paperback of the first 4 issues should be out next month. It's dense, it's confusing (at first) and it might take itself a little too seriously but damn it's really good. Some of you guys might dig it. His other book East of West is really good too, that one is nearly 30 issues in and I would recommend it too.
I'll post some more stuff later
THE BLACK MONDAY MURDERS is classic occultism where the various schools of magic are actually clandestine banking cartels who control all of society: a secret world where vampire Russian oligarchs, Black popes, enchanted American aristocrats, and hitmen from the International Monetary Fund work together to keep ALL OF US in our proper place.

It's not a great time until people start buying cape stuff for quality instead of nostalgia, continuity, habit and other nonsense.

Re: The Comic Thread
DC relaunched their books recently and I've heard good things, Marvel is throwing too many minority characters into their flagship titles for the sake of diversity, it's effecting the quality of the books (and also effecting their sales)
(affecting or effecting? i'm thinking affect but i might be wrong)
The good news is they publish a bunch of books, so Old Man Logan and Moon Knight have been killer but Capt America and Iron Man have been suffering
