It's a randomly generated universe/galaxy with something at the center. Do you not know why that should raise red flags?Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Sun Jul 01, 2018 8:25 pmOkeefenokee wrote: ↑Sun Jul 01, 2018 8:18 pmSpeaker to Animals wrote: ↑Sun Jul 01, 2018 6:29 pmActual game in actual beta status on sale for early access at $12:50
Runs on Ubuntu derivatives. This is a joke, right?Your job is to try to get to the center of the universe, because there's something there.
I think he means the center of the galaxy. Which might as well be the universe as far as the game is concerned. The galaxy seems pretty freaking huge, dude.

It's only as large as the game allows it to be. Remember, there are games out there that allow you to take over the universe one section at the time, which by all intended purposes should not be possible, but we are also talking game logic too...Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Sun Jul 01, 2018 8:25 pmOkeefenokee wrote: ↑Sun Jul 01, 2018 8:18 pmSpeaker to Animals wrote: ↑Sun Jul 01, 2018 6:29 pmActual game in actual beta status on sale for early access at $12:50

So, yeah... there is that bit of faith you got to take with every game.
Anyway, we already know what's in the center of the universe, it's a cluster of massive black holes...

Just like the first guy said, X-3 meets Space Engineers.

The build tools are great. You can pretty much build whatever you want.

It's been out for five years. It's called space engineers. It's thirteen bucks.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Sun Jul 01, 2018 8:45 pmSeems like a fun game, dude.Okeefenokee wrote: ↑Sun Jul 01, 2018 8:44 pmJust like the first guy said, X-3 meets Space Engineers.

Re: The Official Martin Hash Video Game Thread
You saw that mining mechanic, right?
Find a rock. Point and click. Move to another rock. Point and click. Over and over.
That's the way they did it in the X series, and in Vendetta, and in Elite, and in NMS, and every other space game ever.
The genre died for a reason. Re-releasing the same years old mechanics won't change that.
The same was true for the guitar hero games getting re-released every year.
The same was true for the WW2 shooters getting re-released every year.
Battle royale games from the 90s made a comeback with DOTA and PubG and the like, and the market is already so saturated they'll be on their way out again soon.

It's not really Space Engineers. There is a lot more to it. You are pissed that the game actually exists. Go back to your SC cinematics.
