Brewster refuting capitalism with stories about colonial monarchies specifically calling out Kings.

Bravo.
Seriously? You really want to draw that line between an avaricious government and their "capitalist" minions? The various Europeans "chartered" companies to exploit every continent.
Britain is responsible for deaths of 35 million Indians, says acclaimed author Shashi Tharoor

You gotta be pretty creative to parse the difference between Stalin's famine's, Britain's famine in Ireland and the Raj's in India.

@Brewbro
I lump all the fuckers together...…………. Filthy Collectivists

There's no Nuance between a Marxist, a Commie, a Socialist Democrat or a Fucking Facists punishing and barring Free Speech as an example.
If that's the hill you're going to die on, I guess there's no SS or Medicare in store for you, you'll refuse it on principle, right? No unions, or union bennies too, they've always been Reds.
Go ahead and file that under Shit I didn't say for $1000 Alex.

SS and Medicare as they are currently run today............. Yes, deep six those bastards, they are anchors that will drag you down in the storm.

Can help for the elderly and sick poor be provided, yes to some degree, but it works best locally. The Filthy Collectivists want everything Nationalized. Nationalization of most any system is inneficient and ultimately unsustainable.

Ever heard of a poor farm.
We could revamp those things to be better designed than they are today.

Deep-six and revamp and I’ll agree, the problem is the money they put in there is not getting the return it should. If we invested that money ourselves over the same time period, we’d be looking at probably triple the wealth.

Get rid of them entirely, forget it, but look at better investment and output.

You guys are fucking belligerently ignorant. The Irish famine was a capitalist artifact. The absentee landlords insisted on exporting food even as production fell. A million died. This is exactly what happened in Ukraine when Stalin seized food and shipped it to his cities. WTF is wrong with you?

Indeed ... a natural potato blight is a capitalist artifact, akin to Stalin’s liquidation of the kulaks and his five year plans.

... and we’re the ones who are belligerently ignorant.

Can’t make this stuff up folks. This is your brain on liberalism ... any questions?

You keep showing your ignorance. Read about it. Irish food exports never slowed.

You keep drinking you kool-aid, to the point where you blame capitalism for the occurrence of a natural plant disease. Deaths were inevitable once the food (potato) supply was decimated, whether they occurred in the country of the blight or the countries relying on the export is irrelevant when examining the cause of the deaths.

Here's the thing DB - what are you going to do when comrade Brewster and Co. demand you give them 70% of your income?
