You will have to pay an enormous cost for something like that. You will face skyrocketing crime and health crises. You will see entire swaths of society check out into oblivion worse than anything this opiate epidemic could ever result in on its own. You will need to pay for more police, which just ramps up the police state. You will need to pay for more health services. You will pay in terms of your house and vehicles getting broken into all the time.
