Ryan Johansen has outplayed him all series. Sad.

I don't even think the Preds didn't anything particularly special, they just showed up for the playoffs and the Hawks didn't, it's like the Hawks big guns were in a hurry to go golfing, got so many Cups now, they can't even be bothered.

I have a feeling that there will be something coming out soon, like a confessional or scandal piece about what the hell happened. That team is simply not as bad as they looked here.

I don't think it's a scandal, I just think it's hard to stay hungry after you've won three Cups, and, the team has to be depleted due to the salary cap, back in the day, when you had dynasty teams, those teams could be kept together for a decade, restocked, and even upgraded, but with the salary cap, you have to jettison assets, so the team gets weaker as it goes, and at this point for the Hawks, everything is pretty much falling on the shoulders of three guys, and those three guys are champions three times over, there's nothing really left for them to prove, and it's a long grind, eventually, you can't fight human nature, the hunger for another marathon all over again, just isn't there.

Yet, they finished 2 games from the President's Cup. Get off that soapbox, old man.

Meh, they were showing signs of wear earlier in the season, they got it going for a little bit in the second half, looked like they were putting the band back together, but for them to come out and shit the bed like this, there's no other explanation, because there was no compete level, at all, they didn't have it, they weren't up for it, the Preds didn't shock the world, so much as the Hawks just didn't show up, and the biggest offenders were the big three, Toews, Kane, and Keith, all three looked totally disinterested, even as they were spiralling down, they didn't look particularly desperate about it, they didn't even go down swinging, the Hawks didn't go out with a bang, they went out with a shrug.

It's one thing to ramp it up in the regular season for a little bit, after the big three all started off in a slump, they felt like they had to put some work in, but once it got to the playoffs and the intensity ramped way up, against a hungry team playing desperate, it's pretty clear that the big three were in "you know what? On second thought, we're not up for this shit" mode.

Toews; absent. Kane; absent. Keith; absent. They were AWOL on the ice, just when you thought they might get going, when they made a play here and there, they instead went right back to sleep; Zzzzzzz.

Edmonton all over San Jose in OT. Martin Jones standing on his head as the Sharks are holding on by the skin of their teeth, hoping for a lucky bounce steal the win in game 5. Prevent D coming back to bite the Sharks in the ass right now. Could be yet another classic choke from the Sharks if Edmonton doesn't let off the hook here. Sharks look out of gas, but one bounce and none of that matters.

I have a gut feeling that Eberle is going to be in on the game winner at some point, he's got the right idea in overtime, keep shooting constantly, seize the initiative, don't let em' breathe, don't let em' think, don't let em' wake up, eventually they'll get the break their looking for.

That Klefbom game tying bomb was so dope.
100.5 mph on that bad boy, Impressive.

Draisaitl with the beauty set up for Desharnais. That German kid can fucking play.

Sharks choke yet again, up 3-1 before going into prevent D and blowing the lead and then getting out shot 14-2 in OT. Lulz

Fleury - 49 saves on 51 shots! Nice to see the Pens down the Jackets in 5.

I'd still pray for the quick return of Matt Murray if I were you. Marc Andre Fleury is a ticking time bomb.
