Here is my Coop that I built when I lived in the Bay Area. Kept 3 hens in there. Rehomed both the coop and the chickens when we exfiltrated late last year.
I now have about 50 wild chickens on our 6000 sf lot daily and about 20, mostly juveniles right now, roost under the house every night. I am going to build some nesting boxes to stick under there and see if I can't get some of them to start giving us eggs.

Don't be surprised if you find Nuke squatting that in the morning. Most pampered chickens ever...

My nest box is raised a little compared to the plans, but it gives a flat surface so I can clean it easier, and I can hide the height difference when I add the siding.
