I hate that guy so much. He's made every possible wrong move since he started.California wrote:He sends us periodic voicemails via email.

California wrote:The Raiders move to Vegas is actually a good thing. Las Vegas is close enough for both the Bay Area and LA fans, as well as to Denver for when the Broncos play. I used to mention close to San Diego for Chargers fans but the Chargers have no fans anywhere now.
The Chargers move is simply reprehensible, but the San Diego residents are just as responsible as that slime ball Spanos for it. SD was acting entitled by refusing to accept anything other than the NFL and Chargers ownership paying for everything. All stadiums, even in "football country" are partially funded by the public. The retarded thing is, this was not going to affect San Diego residents' pockets at all though, as the money was going to come from a new hotel tax that would be levied upon out-of-town tourists.
I'm torn on who to blame though, because the people of SD totally fucked up, but Spanos is such a creep that the whole move comes out as a wash because he has to pay a relocation fee that is more than he would have paid for the SD stadium.
Good moves actually matter to me because if you haven't figured out I have a very vested interest in the success of the League in general
So, they are moving to Vegas- good. It's, IMO, getting a bit crowded in CA, since I have heard that the Chargers are planning on moving to LA for next year.
https://www.timeout.com/los-angeles/blo ... 017-120216After more than a decade of no professional football teams in Los Angeles, it looks like we may be about to have two. Unless something drastic happens in the next month to keep them in San Diego, the NFL’s Chargers will be joining the Rams here in L.A. next year.
When the Rams made the move from St. Louis, the Chargers were also granted an option to move if they wanted, but they would have to commit by January 15, 2017. The team’s owners wanted a new stadium in San Diego, but didn’t want to put up the $2.6 billion to get it built. Voters in San Diego decided they didn’t want to either and a November ballot referendum that would have allocated public money failed. With no new stadium in the works, they’re probably going to be using their option to skip town entirely.

Re: NFL 2016
http://deadspin.com/report-oakland-raid ... 1791206853The news comes three months to the day after the Nevada State Assembly approved a bill raising taxes to help pay for a new NFL stadium. That tax increase will give the Raiders a record $750 million in public money for the proposed $1.9 billion stadium, with casino tycoon Sheldon Adelson chipping in a reported $650 million of his own to help cover the rest. (Though the Raiders have promised the NFL that they have commitments from Goldman Sachs to cover Adelson’s share if he pulls out, which is a possibility that Adelson has discussed in his up-and-down negotiations with team owner Mark Davis.) The Raiders will be responsible for the remaining $500 million for the stadium, almost none of which will come from the team itself—a sizable loan from the NFL, plus the sale of new personal seat licenses, will take care of much of that.
Looks like the move is going to happen and also looks like the Chargers are going to LA:
http://deadspin.com/los-angeles-charger ... 1791118192The Chargers flipped the switch on their Twitter account a few minutes ago, and now the team is officially known as the Los Angeles Chargers. Along with the new name comes a new logo:

Re: NFL 2016
I got an antenna so I can watch the game. It's in HD over the air. That's crazy.

Falcons are on the 8 after starting on the one on the other side after a series of bombs from Ryan.
