7-10 days depending on weather conditions. The long way also significantly increases shipping costs as fuel is the main cost in transportation.
The Suez canal wasn't built on a whim, there were many good reasons for building it.
It's a very valuable resource, the whole North Africa campaign was fought for control over it in WWII.

It's not really relevant to the US. Your cargo from China doesn't go through the Suez Canal. 12.5% of the world's trade does though. The Conservative wrote: ↑Mon Mar 29, 2021 8:45 amWell, it just means that there is more reason for the US to make our own shit now.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Mon Mar 29, 2021 8:30 am7 to 10 days fewer than going around the Cape. The Conservative wrote: ↑Mon Mar 29, 2021 7:22 am

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

When will you get it, the majority of the people here don't give a shit about the world's fuckups....we are trying to fix our own, and right now if the oil was allowed to flow in the US, and so many other things, our gas prices wouldn't by up 70 cents, and we would be laughing and pointing at this shit because we may not drive on the right side of the road, but we at least know how to drive a boat.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Mon Mar 29, 2021 8:52 amIt's not really relevant to the US. I was just answering your question about how long it took to go the long way around.
Jeez, no need to be so sensitive.
Do you need a safe space?
