It’s not like the Leiden separatists were looking to form as close to a utopia on earth as they could. Right down the line to the Shakers. It’s something that’s always intrigued Americans- I mean Americans with deep roots in this country, not the Johnny come latelys who like to put their recent spin on our history and declare it ‘American culture.’
