Re: Why Can’t America Have Beerhalls?
The Cavaliers did not come to America, they were the super rich of England, they were Royalist Loyalist Tories, they were the sworn enemies of Virginia, the very thing which the Southrons led the Revolution against.
If a Cavalier were to flee England, it wasn't to a colonial shithole in America, they went to France, they were Lords of the Peerage, they didn't do exile in the colonies.
Whatever "Tories" were about in America, they weren't Cavaliers, Cavaliers wouldn't be caught dead in America, they would just cross the Channel to their massive estates in France and live under the protection of Bourbon.
Poor people went to America, the dregs, the super rich didn't go anywhere near it.

You should spend more time reading a book and less time pontificating, then.

There's no book which would be accurate in stating that the Cavaliers of the House of Stuart were the emigrants to the colonies, that would be nonsense, again, the super rich, did not exile themselves to the shitholes on the fringes of Empire.
The Cavaliers were so rich, they had no reason to flee England, even after they lost the war, too rich to be touched, but if they wanted to go on vacation, again, cross the Channel to France and dine with the House of Bourbon.

That's the problem right now. We have two Canadians who lack an education, don't read, and just pontificate. When they lose, they spam the threads with hockey talk to cover it up. People offer them references to books to educate themselves and they just dismiss it without reading or even bothering to understand where the other person is coming from.
Yeah, dude, the South was settled by Cavaliers. They even called themselves that.

Or all that's fake history too because it doesn't comport with Smitty's personal narrative.

See Smitty, when StA gets his ass handed to him by those who are actually informed, he claims that the only reason we disagree with him is because we aren't as educated as him. That and he goes all Temperance Lady and claims you can't think straight because you're drunk or high. It's pretty funny.Speaker to Animals wrote:That's the problem right now. The Southrons are not the descendants of William Berkeley, that was 1650 and he was the governor of Virginia, the Southrons were the Scots-Irish indentured servants, there is no United States of America in 1650, and the Americans of 1776 were yeoman farmers not English Cavaliers.
