. The Fifth of November
Remember, remember!
The fifth of November,
The Gunpowder treason and plot;
I know of no reason
Why the Gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot!
Guy Fawkes and his companions
Did the scheme contrive,
To blow the King and Parliament
All up alive.

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

My youngest son’s birthday. We’re at a smoking bar in Beaverton, OR. Place is packed. My son-in-law & his family (male) is here too. We all lived in Britain at one time. Guy Fawkes day is all our favorite.

They're handing out ten grand fines like Halloween candy to anyone organising any sort of a party.

I have absolutely no intention of organising a gathering of people that increases the opportunity for a dangerous virus to spread.
I'd like the reproduction rate to be low enough that I feel safe to visit my 80 year old mother this Christmas.
I don't know how many Christmases she has left.

Not being mean, just honest. Lockdowns serve an entirely different purpose.
